Is Junior right for my child?
Junior is designed for roughly ages 5 to 16, for kids who've outgrown their first bed and are heading into growth spurts. It's 8.5" tall and a modern hybrid design, with steel coils underneath. }

Copper Foam™
This top layer envelops the curves of the body shape to reduce pressure points. Allowing for a deeper, more restful sleep. Being an "open cell" design it provides more airflow and flexibility than a traditional memory-foam.

Cooling yarn with form-fitting LYCRA™
A stretch-knit cover flexes with the foam and the sleeper, then snaps back. No bunching, no sagging fabric: it holds its shape through years. We do not condone "monkeys jumping on the bed".
02 - Zoned for a body that keeps changing
808 coils. Three jobs.
Over 40% of a sleeper's weight sits at the hips. Junior's coil system is firmer there and gentler at the shoulders, so the spine stays level whether your kid is 45 lb or 145. Hover or tap a zone.

Softer coils let the shoulder settle into the quilt instead of propping it up. It's the difference between a side sleeper who wakes rested and one who wakes with a numb arm.

Where the weight lands
Without a loss in Comfort. We selected Firmer, denser coils stop the hips from dropping, which is what keeps a growing spine straight through the night. It's the part where other beds gives out first, and the part Junior reinforces most.

Easy on the knees
Gentler coils under the legs reduce pressure behind the knees and ankles. Because every coil is individually wrapped, a 2 a.m. roll-over doesn't travel across a sleepover.

03 - Why copper, in a kid's bed
Grown-up Materials. Chosen for elevated comfort
Copper is one of the oldest antimicrobial materials we know. We didn’t believe a kids’ mattress should be made with lesser materials, so Junior uses the same premium Copper Foam™ found in our adult Havens, alongside plant-based foams that are CertiPUR-US® certified and independently tested for low VOC emissions. It’s a more considered first mattress - thoughtfully made, premium where it matters, and designed for the room they’ll grow up in.
Naturally antimicrobial
Helps limit bacteria, mould and mildew growth inside the mattress, so it stays fresher between sheet changes.

Copper is highly thermally conductive. It moves body heat out of the foam instead of storing it.

What age is Junior for?
Roughly 5 to 16, from the first "real bed" through high school. For younger children, top bunks or trundles, Haven also makes a lower 6" all-foam kids' mattress. If your child is in between, choose Junior: it's the one they won't outgrow.
Is copper and materials safe for my family to sleep on?
Yes. Copper is a naturally occurring mineral, and in Junior it's bound into a CertiPUR-US® certified foam layer beneath the quilted cover, not a coating your child touches. It's the same reason copper is used on hospital surfaces and in fresh water pipes.
Is "softer" still supportive enough for a growing spine?
The softness is in the quilted surface, the top inch or so. Underneath, 808 pocket coils do the supporting, and they're zoned firmer through the hips where most of the body's weight sits. Comfort on top, alignment below.
Can it go on a bunk bed?
On the bottom bunk, always. On top, measure first: the guard rail should above the mattress surface, see manufactures specs. Most bunks rated for mattresses up to 9" are fine; if yours isn't, Haven Kids at 6" is the safer choice.
Do I still need a protector if the foam is antimicrobial?
Yes. Copper helps with what builds up inside the mattress over time; a waterproof protector handles what gets spilled on it tonight. It also keeps the 10-year warranty intact, and it's included in the Complete Sleep Bundle.
How soon can they sleep on it?
The same night. It ships compressed, unrolls in minutes and reaches full height within hours. Ultra low-VOC materials mean there's no chemical smell to air out first.
