5 Tips for dealing with a restless sleeper

by Kayleigh Haven Info

As we get older a good night's sleep is so essential to ensure we function at an optimal level.

When we are constantly disturbed, not by our own sleep issues but by someone else, it can be extremely frustrating. It can also completely destroy the relationship.

If you struggle with sharing a bed with someone else, here are some tips that may be a huge help.

1: Talk to your partner - Make sure that they know you are in this together. This will help them realize you are not blaming them and that you want to find a solution that will work for both of you.

2: Go with them to the doctor - Show your support by going to their doctor's appointment. Listen to the suggestions and help them make a decision they feel comfortable with.

3: Consider purchasing a weighted blanket - Sleeping with a weighted blanket has been proven to ease insomnia, help with restless leg syndrome and helps promotes a sense of calm.

4: Watch what you eat - Trying to avoid things like chocolate, caffeine, and MSG at night will greatly improve your chances of achieving a night of restful sleep.

5: Choose your bed carefully - While everyone has their own preferences when looking for a new mattress, make sure to choose one that doesn't transfer motion easily and offers plenty of space for both of you.

We hope these tips help you sleep more and sleep better.
