Two great Canadian Brands combine to deliver "The Ultimate Sleep Experience"
Haven Sleep Limited (Kelowna, BC) has announced today the acquisition of Vancouver, BC-based Bedface Bedding. Both brands have become recognized as Canadians choice for premium quality sleep products.
Without the overhead and expenses required to operate brick and mortar stores, Haven’s products are sold directly to consumer at much lower prices and shipped quickly to your door.
With the convenience of 24/7 shopping, free shipping and 100-night risk-free trial consumers are preferring the convenience and safety of buying their luxury sleep products online.
Haven was founded in 2016 as Canada’s first social enterprise in the mattress sector. For every 10 Havens sold online, 1 mattress is donated to a local charity. As a result, the social impact of Haven reached further than just the positive outcome of better sleep to its direct customers.
Haven mattress is 100% vegan, cruelty-free and plant-based designed to have zero chemical off-gassing. They are also the only mattress with a clinical body recovery technology that reduces inflammation in the body, for this particular innovation Haven holds a medical device classification with Health Canada and the FDA.
The acquisition of Bedface will increase the convenience to Haven’s online shoppers explains Scott Amis, Haven’s CEO. “Our customers trust us to deliver a curated line of well-made products, that fit their active and wellness-focused lifestyles.”
The current Bedface linens are 100% Cotton sold direct in 300 thread percale or 500 thread count sateen and are similar to those offered by Brooklinen and Pottery Barn. Canadians were first introduced to Bedface when they were featured in: Jillian Harris’s blog, Huffington Post and the Globe and mail articles. More than just thread count the long staple cotton fibers of these sheets improve the softness and feel the more you wash and use them.
A representative of Bedface reported, "We see value in the community that Haven has built, in a competitive world it just makes sense that our premium bedding should be sold where customers are already committed to investing in better sleep.”
The expanded business will continue to serve its existing customers under the Haven Sleep Products banner with head offices in Kelowna, BC and with production coming from Toronto, ON and the recently added Calgary, AB.
"When Haven was founded, we knew a natural organic mattress was just the starting point,” says Amis. “Our customers have been asking for quality bedding as a top priority. What was unknown was the path we would take to get here. "
The acquisition of Bedface is a quick way to be introduced to a new group of customers that already put a high value towards sleep. Many of Bedface’s fans are in the USA where Havens are currently not for sale.
Haven didn’t deny that Bedface may be part of a larger strategy to bring their Canadian made mattresses to the 20X larger American mattress market.
Merging the two customers groups will take place this month and should be seamless. To celebrate they are planning a number of loyalty campaigns for customers of both great brands.
